Taylor Nutrition has provided sports nutrition workshops to athletes of all ages. Our sports performance dietitians have worked with numerous sports teams and organizations including but not limited to:

HOCKEY: Paul Manning hockey camps, Seven Hockey, Mount Carmel Hockey Academy, Canadian Athletic Club hockey, Southside Athletic Club hockey, North Stars Hockey Academy, Maple Leaf Athletic Club, West Central Panthers hockey team, FRHC Spartans hockey team, CAPS hockey team and more.

Each workshop is catered toward the age of the participants to ensure the learning process is meaningful. We provide a fun (lots of prizes), interactive, body positive and educational workshop that allows athletes to feel more confident on how to improve their nutrition for good health, growth (if necessary) and greater sport performance.

Workshop #1: Understanding Macronutrients and Their Role in Sport Performance

b) Understanding carbohydrate, protein and fat

c) Exploring glycogen

d) How digestion works and nutrient timing

e) Dialing into the importance of hydration 


Workshop #2: Nutrient Timing, Hydration and Supplements 

a) Testing your sports nutrition IQ

b) Review of macronutrients and how that translates into meals 

c) Learning about the athletes training plate for rest, moderate and hard training days 

d) Exploring nutrient timing and what that looks like pre- and post-activity for optimal building and recovery

e) Discussing the role of different types of sports drinks for sport performance 

f) The role of supplements—what do you need? 

Workshop #3: Understanding Your Nutrition 

a) Testing your sports nutrition IQ

b) Review of athlete’s personal food journals 

c) Dialing into game day/competition nutrition

d) Understanding key concepts for tournament nutrition
