Sports Nutrition Workshops

Sports nutrition is a crucial element to progress an average athlete to an excellent athlete. Lalitha has provided sports nutrition workshops to soccer and hockey players as young as 7 years to 17 years of age. Each workshop is catered toward the age of the participants to ensure the learning process is meaningful. Lalitha provides a fun, interactive and educational workshop that allows the athlete to feel more confident on how to improve their nutrition for good health and greater sport performance. Sports nutrition workshops include the following:

  • Fundamental teaching on macronutrients (carbohydrates, protein and fat) and micronutrients (vitamins and minerals)

  • Nutrient pairing and timing of macronutrients

  • Basic physiology on how nutrients work in our body

  • Education on balanced meals and snacks

  • Supplement usage and the role of sports drinks

  • Game day/tournament nutrition

  • Sample of a healthy smoothie that participants make with Lalitha

Lalitha will also provide the following key handouts for participants:

  • Examples of balanced meals and snacks

  • Game day nutrition which include examples of what to eat and when

  • Healthy foods to pack for away tournaments
